As much as I keep trying to fit into my old pants…maternity pants really are just so much more comfortable. And that was definitely made clear this week. Sure, I can still fit into my old pants, but I can’t DO anything in them. Every time I try to bend or sit or anything, little baby girl lets me know…Hey Ma, this isn’t really workin’ out for me! So, I have conceded to wearing (and really only wanting to wear) maternity pants. And that makes us both happy ;)

Oh yes…lovin’ the stretch…

Until next time…

Little Teagan was all about the stranger danger. She definitely didn’t want to give up the smiles to us, but was full of them when she was with her people…and I can’t quite blame her. She would light up whenever mom or dad was holding her, and it was so fun to watch.

I always love when the parents are fun and creative and up for anything. It always make our job so much easier. Ter and Sarah, you guys really were great! Take a peak…

Seriously Love all the ones in the red chair…

Absolute favorite of the shoot…

I will end with this incredible shot of the little bear in the tree…

We had it all planned out…and we were all thrilled! Melissa and Eric invited us into the OR to photograph their C-section of baby number 2!!! Baby, however, had different plans. He decided that he needed to come into the world just a little earlier than had originally planned. So of course, our plans fell by the wayside. Although we didn’t get to photograph him coming into the world, I got to photograph him just hours later. Congratulations Eric, Melissa, and Nick. He is wonderful…

His first doctor’s checkup…he wasn’t happy…

LOVE…

UGH! So sweet…

I’m watching you lady…

Perfect…

I absolutely adore this next shot…

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of baby DeFreest’s first few hours. You guys are truly amazing!

Let’s just start off by saying how completely impatient I am. Like, seriously can’t wait for things to happen on their own, impatient.

That being said…most ultrasounds happen at about 20 weeks to find out the sex and check on the little babe, as most of you already know. We (okay, really just me), however, just could not wait. And…a VERY BIG AND, we are blessed to know the incredible Geoff Gill. Not only is he a dear friend, but he is quite the awesome OBGYN (not ours of course, that would be too weird ;) ) Being friends with Geoff comes with perks…VERY BIG PERKS!!! And now being pregnant, even more perks are acquired. Hey Geoff, can I eat this? What about this? And what does this mean? Is this normal? Can you find out the sex early? And every time, he comes through. That’s right…at a mere 15 weeks, he was able (with his mad OBGYN skills) to ultrasound us and tell us the sex of our little monkey. So here it is (with of course a disclaimer that it is still pretty early, but totally obvious), our little monkey is a…

That’s right…IT’S A GIRL!!!!

Geoff, you undeniably ROCK!! Thank you, thank you!

Let me think of the things that I love about the Whiteley’s…um…EVERYTHING!!! I love how they are SERIOUSLY down for whatever…Let’s put your 3 months old out in the freezing cold, let’s put her here, let’s put her there, oh and what about this?? And every time…no problem. I love it. You guys truly make our jobs easy, and I thank you! So, out in the freezing cold we went, all bundled up…

Love it…

The sun peaked out at us for a bit and looks deceivingly warm ;) And Jeff…ya, he was rocking the short sleeves! What a champ…

Jayna’s older brother joined us for a few shots…

I seriously love that all the pets (except Georgia :( ) are in this shot…

Jayna went from happy to asleep…no crankiness. So despite being in the cold leaves, she was just done with us. And it is HANDS DOWN, my fave of the shoot…

Wakey, wakey…

Again, these next two are priceless…

Like I said, you guys are so wonderful! Thank you!

Once again, it’s bittersweet to finish up on a 1st year shoot. We have followed Owen since he was still inside his mama, and it has been truly incredible to watch him, Julie, and Brady grow as a family. We decided to go back to where we shot Julie’s maternity photos, and I am so so glad we did. I loved the idea of going back to where we started it all ;)

What you see is Owen in a couldn’t ask for better mood. But what you don’t see is that it is absolutely freezing outside and even raining at times, and yet his sweet little personality continues to show. Here is a little peak at Owen’s first year shoot…

Love, Love, Love…

All of these, I love…

See it?? That lone snaggle tooth?? It’s perfect…

After a quick outfit change and some defrost time in the car, Owen was ready to rock again…

Owen, you are seriously melting my heart…

Look familiar??? Same shot as Owen’s 3 month shoot…

I really do love to photograph you guys. Not only are you easy to direct (uh…kinda Brady), but you crack me up…every time! Thank you!

Ashley is soooo many things wonderful: flexible, understanding, fun, up for whatever, pleasant, polite, and beautiful…just to name a few! I don’t even know how many times we had to reschedule due to various reasons, and Ashley was so easy to work with. Finally though, we were able to meet up for her senior portrait shoot, and it couldn’t have been better. You are so amazing Ashley, and I am so glad you stuck it out. Take a look…

Gorgeous…

Ashley’s boyfriend, Danny joined us for a few shots…

Love it…

This too…

Red is definitely your color!! I loved this whole series…

Quite possibly my fave…

I will end with yet another stunning photo of Ashley…

We met up with the Salladays for a very chilly morning shoot!! Everyone toughed out the cold with runny noses and style, and the shoot couldn’t have gone better. Jaxon was a bit apprehensive about us at first, but quickly warmed up. Take a peak at their awesome family…

Jared was so great with Jaxon…

Absolute favorite of the fam…

LOVE…

Sooooooo sweet…

Thank you for being so easy going!!! You guys rock!

Little Gabriel wasn’t going to give up the smiles easily…actually he was going to make us work quite hard for them. But smile or no smile, he is absolutely adorable and I always love to photograph the Crowes. This time, Gabriel’s big sister, Hannah joined us. Hannah was polite and beautiful and showed her love for her brother. Take a look at our shoot…

I absolutely LOVE these next two…

Another fave…

Janiece, you are beautiful…

YAY!!! He smiled…

And a little sister love…

Thanks guys!!

As this little baby monkey inside me grows, so does my NEED for Tums! Yes, my ABSOLUTE NEED for Tums. Not that I am being overly dramatic in the least ;) The NEED is in fact so strong, that I continue to eat the foods that require me to NEED the Tums. A perpetual, vicious cycle. However, in my defense, it seems that it really doesn’t matter what foods I eat, the NEED for Tums persists. So, here we are…in our 14th week of pregnancy…lovin’ this babe…and Tums…

This was for real…my NEED for tums…

You can’t really see my bump here, but I loved it because this is what my husband does to me! He makes me so happy that I forget how much I hate how I scrunch my nose while laughing…

Until next time…
